What is coming next for Trust Agent: a learner portfolio, a live agents environment, and where the free tier ends

Trust Agent, the free AI course library Mickai LTD publishes at trust-agent.ai, has grown to more than sixty workbooks without ever charging for one of them. That has always been the whole point of the format. What the Mickai team is now working towards, alongside that library rather than instead of it, is a paid tier that has not shipped yet and, as of writing, has not been fully decided either. Here is an honest account of what is actually live today, what is planned, and what genuinely has not been settled.

What is actually live on Trust Agent today

Three things are true about Trust Agent right now, and it is worth stating them plainly before describing anything that might change.

• There is no login or account system on the site. That is a deliberate choice, not an oversight: the team has held off building one until there is real demand to justify it, rather than adding an account wall simply because other course sites have one.
• No AI agents are available to download yet. Each one has to pass a release review, covering its instructions, knowledge, permissions and behaviour in the tools it supports, before it can appear on the site, and none has cleared that review as of writing.
• The workbook library itself, more than sixty courses at the time of writing, is free to download, with no paywall and no mention of price anywhere in the course content.

Nothing below changes any of that today. It describes direction, not a shipped product.

The plan: a learner portfolio and account system

The first piece expected to sit inside a future premium tier is some form of learner portfolio: an account that tracks which courses you have completed and which certificates you have earned, rather than leaving that record on your own hard drive as a downloaded PDF. Today, deliberately, none of that exists. Trust Agent has no login specifically because the team has not wanted to add friction, or start holding a record of who is learning what, until enough people are actually asking for a persistent account to justify building and maintaining one.

The plan is for that to change, but only once demand from the reader side makes an account genuinely worth the extra complexity it would add for everyone, including the majority of visitors who currently just want to download a workbook and get on with it. Nothing about scope, timing or what exactly a portfolio would show has been finalised.

The plan: a live, in-browser agents environment

The second piece is a live agents environment used directly inside a browser, rather than a downloadable configuration file you point your own tools at. Neither exists yet. Trust Agent's agents are still going through a release review, checking each one's instructions, knowledge, permissions and behaviour in the tools it supports, and none has cleared that review for public download as of writing. A browser-based version, where you could try an agent without leaving the site or setting anything up locally, is an idea the team has looked at, not something already being built: it would need a live chat interface and paid calls to a model API, a genuinely different cost shape from the free, static site that exists today. No date has been set for either.

The workbook library keeps growing, and stays free

The third piece is less a new feature than a continuation: the educational library itself keeps growing, with new workbooks added regularly and no plan to slow that down. This is also the piece with the clearest commitment attached to it, already stated elsewhere on the site and worth repeating here without hedging. The more than sixty existing free workbooks are staying free. Whatever eventually ships as a paid tier, it is planned to sit alongside that free library, not replace it or fold any of it behind a paywall. That commitment predates any decision about pricing, and nothing about a future premium tier changes it. What has not been decided

It would be easy to make this sound further along than it is, and that is exactly the temptation worth resisting in a piece like this one. No launch date has been set. No price has been decided or announced. Beyond the three things described above, a learner portfolio and certificates, a live in-browser agents environment, and a growing free library, no further feature list has been finalised, and stating anything more specific would mean getting ahead of a decision the team has not actually made yet. If any of that changes, this is the kind of article that gets updated, not quietly left to go stale.
